DAY OF ATONEMENT -a one-act- (see one-act page for more info and to purchase)
was a winner in the 2006 DFAS National One-Act Playwriting Contest - and Janet S. Tiger returned to Dubuque after 22 years to see this world premiere of this play on August 18-18, 2006.


DAY OF ATONEMENT was the 2nd place winner, but the audience #1 choice on both nights.

Janet stayed with Cheri and Leroy Kraske, friends she made during the 80s, when her plays won 3 years in a row -(Cheri was the grandmother in THE WAITING ROOM and Hilda Gruenberg in THE AFFIDAVIT)

        About the Playwright
Janet S. Tiger’s award winning plays have been produced internationally from New York to New Zealand and are in popular anthologies in the United States and Canada.  She received her BA in Comparative Literature from San Diego State University in 1973 and has worked as a scriptwriter in Hollywood.  She is now living in San Diego with her husband and children.  Her most recent  commission involve a play and a one-act- RENNY'S STORY- about an amazing woman who survived WWII Poland, fought in the Warsaw Ghetto and escaped a Nazi death camp.

(Note- if anyone has famous actress friends who are always complaining about the lack of good work for actresses past 40, have them check out INTERVIEW, THE THIRD PARTY, SCRIPTEASE, THE SECOND BATTLE OF HOBSON'S CHOICE and CURSE OF THE DUCHESS to start.  Plus, I know of other almost famous playwrights who have good work for over 40 actresses.  Tell them to please read up before they complain!)

SHIPPING INFO

Plays can usually be shipped within 5-7 days of receipt of a check or money order.  Pay Pal is available now for almost all the plays.  The rest of the buttons should be ready very soon, but until then, please e-mail  if you have a credit card order, and a return e-mail will explain how to pay via PayPal.

All plays will be shipped via 4th Class Book Rate for most scripts, unless faster method is requested.  (Overnight add $15.00, Priority 2-3 Day, add $2.00)

On some of the scripts, it is possible to e-mail, as they are in computer format.  If not on computer, they will be mailed.
